Thurrock BME pays tribute to late Sir David Amess MP – who unfortunately was killed in a Church while meeting residents.
A spokesperson for the Group said “the whole of Essex and the Country are shocked by the murder of a great parliamentarian. It is obvious from the tributes made so far that he cared a great deal about the people in the community he represented.
It is a great testimony to his work that the Queen has rewarded his campaign and made Southend a City.
“We cannot allow hatred to reign. Our condolences to his wife and children.
Rest in peace Sir Amess.”
