22nd June 2023 Windrush @ 75 preparations.

This year will mark 75 years that the ship, HMT Empire Windrush docked in Tilbury. To mark the occation, Thurrock BME Group, in conjunction with a few partners have worked together to install a plaque as a permanent reminder that Tilbury is the home of Windrush. There are numerous other events taking place on the day. Watch this space.
