A weekend of special events is being held from Saturday 6 to Monday 8 May to celebrate the Coronation of King Charles III and Her Majesty the Queen Consort.
National celebrations will be taking place across the UK. If you’re hosting your own public event, street party or other celebration, or want to find out where events are being held across Thurrock, check out the national and local event map.
Eden Project Communities is part of the official Coronation celebrations and is inviting communities to hold a Big Lunch across the weekend. Your Big Lunch doesn’t have to be a big event, it could even be a small gathering with family or friends in a garden or park. Their Big Lunch pack is full of ideas, inspiration and top tips to get your Big Lunch started.
The Big Help Out is being organised in tribute to the Coronation weekend on Monday 8 May, highlighting the positive impact that volunteering has on our communities.
In Thurrock, there are a number of volunteering opportunities available that you can get involved in from youth work and community hubs to adult care and health.
