Short Term Roles
Who are we: ThurrockBME represents the Black Ethnic Minority Community in Thurrock.
We do this by ensuring that the BME Community is represented appropriately within established institutions in Thurrock. These institutions include schools, sports clubs, council and all other institutions that exist within Thurrock that influences members of our community. We are working to improve the lives of ethnic minorities and we do this by making sure your voices and opinions are heard and considered by institutions.

Thurrock BME are seeking volunteers for a short 10-hour role over three days.
Role: Outgoing persons required to carry out door to door surveys about the take-up of the covid vaccine. Ask residents three simple questions about the vaccine, fill out your form and leave a flier with more information about the vaccine and a zoom event for them to ask any questions. No previous experience required. Although it’s a voluntary role, we aim to pay compensation of £7.50 per hour. |
Role: Ability to manage a group of people required to do door to door survey. Ensure survey forms are completed properly with enough information for further analysis. Manage any concerned raised by the team or residents and escalate such to project manager. Ensure all areas of survey are covered within the given timeframe. Daily report of activities to project manager. Desirable – experience of customer service or similar roles.
Although it’s a voluntary role we aim to pay compensation of £10-£15 per hour. Depending on experience. |
