“ThurrockBME is shocked and appalled at the racist messages and comments that were targeted at some of the footballers that ably represented our country in the recently concluded Euro 2020.
We should be proud of their achievements and celebrate them for getting to the finals for the first time in over half a century.
We believe that more needs to be done to stamp out racism in football and in our communities.
ThurrockBME will continue to work with the authorities to ensure that we are one community.”
